Martha Darling is an experienced practitioner delivering business acumen across organisational operations. Specialising in business and project information management, her work includes collating analytics and measurables to illustrate change management methods to facilitate strategic growth.
Starting her career at high end fashion brand Jimmy Choo, Martha’s professional background is grounded in the creative profession. At Gensler Design Agency, she managed multiple teams across all design disciplines. Martha is currently Head of Operations for the Stirling-Prize winning architecture studio AL_A. In every project, AL_A try to advance the debate, be it through design, urban thinking, social purpose or material innovation.
Martha’s expertise lies in understanding the requirements of a business in order to balance creative vision with business objectives. Through effective planning of multiple workstreams, efficient running of lean and effective teams and successful streamlining and implementation of new structures and processes, she manages rapidly shifting business demands in line with creative goals.
Ria is an experienced communications leader with knowledge of corporate communications strategy, reputation management, executive profiling and content creation client-side and in the professional services industries. She enjoys working with an international reach and is currently the Head of PR and Campaigns for the UK, India, Middle East and Africa at Arup, the global sustainable development specialists.
Ria leads multidisciplinary teams to deliver high profile and impact marketing and communications campaigns designed to achieve cut-through across top tier media, government and client audiences. She is also accountable for board-level reputational risk management, crisis communications and the press office function.
Ria is committed to increasing representation within the industry and is active in participating in industry events, outreach and mentoring to address these challenges.
Fadi Asmar is a Global Marketing and Communications Professional at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Based in New York, Fadi works closely with SOM’s structural engineering leadership, marketing, and communications teams. While emphasizing the unique value of SOM’s multidisciplinary approach, he is involved in content creation and supports business development. Earlier in his career, Fadi was responsible for the redesign of LERA’s website.

Diana Darling is the co-founder and president of The Architect’s Newspaper. Vivian Lee- leads award-winning projects of all types and scales, Vivian, brings over 30-years of passion for the design industry to Woods Bagot’s New York Studio. Driven by a belief that good design can and should inspire, Vivian encourages the team to balance creative vision with practical solutions to deliver value to the client and end-user. Her diverse portfolio includes innovative projects for the commercial office, hotel, airport, universities, schools, workplace, and residential sectors.
Vivian’s commitment to mentorship fosters the next generation of designers, and her extraordinary dedication to promoting and advancing women in architecture continues to contribute to the profession. Her design accomplishments and leadership in architecture resulted in Vivian’s elevation to the distinguished American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in 2020. She is on the Board of Directors
for the AIA New York Chapter and serves as the Women in Architecture Committee co-chair.

Oscar Riera Ojeda is also the creator of numerous architectural book series, including Ten Houses, Contemporary World-Architects, The New American House and The New American Apartment, Architecture in Detail, and Single Building.
His work has received many international awards, in-depth reviews, and citations. He is a regular contributor and consultant for several publications in the field.
